Couple Fined In Animal Cruelty Case

A local couple has been fined a total of $400 on an animal cruelty related charge.

It comes after an officer with the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society found a terrier like dog locked inside a vehicle outside a business near Memorial and Central in June of this year.

They say the animal was in distress after being confined in what officials determined was a temperature of 38 degrees, but was rescued before being seriously injured.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
