Lightning Fire Destroys Area Camp

A lightning strike is being blamed for a fire that totally destroyed a camp in Amethyst Harbour over the weekend.

Officials with Shuniah Fire & Emergency Services say it happened just after midnight on Saturday and wasn’t put out until 4 o’clock that same morning.

There are no reports of anyone being injured.
