Helicopter Rides Come To Waterfront

A Thunder Bay helicopter company is hoping to have its waterfront tours ready for this weekend.

Spokesperson Liam Dowds, of Northwest Heli Tours and Adventures, tells us all the have to do now is wait for the stamp of approval from city officials, who will be making a final safety inspection Friday.

He hopes to have the tours in operation Friday afternoon in time for Rib Fest.

The tours will be run from an area on the north side next to where the Alexander Henry is docked.

There will be eight- and 10-minute tours offered, with prices set at $65 and $90 per person. (Staff Photo)

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
