Historical Park Re-Enacting 1816 Battle

You can do some time travelling and not even leave Thunder Bay.

Fort Under Siege will recreate the rivalry between the North West Company of Montreal and the Hudson’s Bay Company of England.

Spokesperson Jason Bosh says, of course, they also tell how our local First Nations played a role.

“You’ll see a council of war taking place there, where the North West Company allies decide whether they’re going to fight for the Company and take our side, or whether they’re going to go over onto the Hudson’s Bay Company side.”

Re-enactors will bring the chapter of Canadian history from 1816 alive today and tomorrow from ten until five.
