The annual fundraiser the Caribou Charity Ride is celebrating its tenth year this fall.
Organizer John Simms tells us they are offering a new challenge, a 75 kilometre gravel ride.
“Gravel riding has really taken hold in Thunder Bay,” he points out, adding they’ll still offer their regular 50, 75, or 100-kilometre rides.
Cyclists will be taking off from the Nor’Wester Best Western Hotel and will ride through Oliver Paipoonge.
Simms adds they’re still taking applications for riders.
“Right now, we’ve got about 250 registerd, with 400 spots.”
You can register at this link.
Since the ride first started ten years ago, the event has raised over $308,000 for cancer, which stays in the Thunder Bay area.
