Appeal To Motorcyclists To Be More Visible

City police are encouraging motorcyclists to wear brighter clothing when they are riding.

Acting sergeant Bill Pollock tells us they are starting a campaign to alert motorcycle drivers, for their own safety, they should be more visible to other drivers.

Pollock explains the purpose of the campaign is to reduce the number of motorcycle collisions in the city.

The acting sergeant notes studies shows motorcyclists who wear high visibility clothing can reduce their chances of a collision by almost 40%.
