The City is coming clean with the amount of money it paid for former police chief JP Levesque’s legal fees.
In a media release, officials say they will foot the $198,826 bill.
The City is responsible for the fees because his employment contract provides for compensation in the event of wrongful allegations.
In January, the two criminal charges facing Levesque were dismissed.
