Woman Sentenced In 2017 Death

One of the women charged with second degree murder in the 2017 death of Kevin Roundhead is now free from jail.

Emma Massakeyash plead guilty to a lesser charge, of accessory after the fact and was given time served for her time spent in jail leading up to today’s court date.

Massakeyash told Roundhead’s family she was sorry and offered her condolences to them.

She spent 235 days in jail and was given 353 days credit for her time served.

The judge sentenced her to one day in jail deemed served.

Meanwhile, her co-accused and son Skylar Massakeyash plead guilty to two unrelated charges this morning.

He will be back in court on June 29th for the second degree murder charge he still faces in relation to Roundhead’s death.

Yesterday, Jessie Chapais saw a charge of second degree murder withdrawn from this matter.

Roundhead was found beaten by McVicar Creek in July of last year.
