The local push is continuing for more women to enter the world of politics.
Sue Prodaniuk helped to organize a meeting on the issue last night and notes the participants were encouraged to start at the grassroots level.
Prodaniuk tells us she’s encouraged by the number of younger women and girls who showed an interest in the issue.
She says many asked for supports that will give them the confidence and tools needed when they do decide to make the leap by join boards, committees, or to become a candidate. (Photo: unsplashed.com)
