Jury Out In Marki Double Murder Trial

The jury in Benjamin Ronald Marki’s double murder trial is deliberating.

They were instructed by Justice Terrence Platana this morning telling them they can’t pick and choose what rules to follow.

He advised them that they can only find Marki guilty if the prosecution has proven beyond a reasonable doubt his guilt.

Platana told them sympathy and prejudice can’t factor into their decision.

He added that it’s not enough that they believe Marki is most likely or probably guilty and in that situation they must find him not guilty.

Marki is charged in the 2015 deaths of Anne Chuchmuch and Wilfred Pott and faces two counts of murder, arson with disregard for life and indignity to a dead body.
