Killing An Animal Charge Dropped

A group of animal rights activists are disappointed in a court decision to drop charges facing a local couple.

On April 10th, a charge of killing an animal that Marlene Finlayson and Douglas Mitchell were facing was dropped.

It was in relation to the 2016 death of a female dog in the Northwood area.

The Facebook group Justice for Karma says they are outraged and saddened by the decision.

They say they gathered 40,000 signatures on a petition calling for justice for the deceased dog.
