City Showing Support For Humboldt After Bus Crash

The city is honouring the victims of the fatal Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

Speaking at City Council, Mayor Keith Hobbs says with hockey such a big part of many Canadians’ lives, the tragedy touches everyone across the country.

“I’ve sent a letter on behalf of Council and the citizens of Thunder Bay today, and we’ve lowered our flags to half-mast,” Hobbs says.

He calls the collision that killed 15 people and injured 14 others heartwrenching.

Hobbs also called for a moment of silence at the start of Monday night’s meeting. (File Photo)
