A fatal collision has closed the Trans Canada highway west of the city.
According to OPP it’s the result of a collision between a pick up truck and a tractor trailer about two kilometres east of Finnmark Road over the noon hour.
The driver of the pick up-truck has been pronounced dead while the driver of the tractor trailer and a passenger were rushed to hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Police report Highway 11-17 is closed between Sistonen’s Corner and Shabaqua Corners.
They aren’t able to tell us how long the closure may last.
