Say good-bye to those pesky high pressure sales people who coming knocking at your front door all the time.
Door-to-door contracts have been among the top complaints received by the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
Starting today the Ontario government is banning door-to-door sales for a wide variety of services.
That includes air conditioners, furnaces or water heaters, or any similar bundles of these items like air or water purifiers.
There are also rules that apply to how those sales people can visit you, meaning it’s you that must invite that person to your home.
As well any contract you sign has a 10 day cooling off period for you to change your mind.
