The Friends of Chippewa Park are asking for your financial support to help restore the Chippewa Park Carousel’s wooden horses.
Fundraising chair Jules Tupker tells us the campaign is kicking off with a goal of raising $600,000, a target he’s confident can be reached.
The merry-go-round is over 100 years old and Tupker says the aim is to restore it to its original beauty, starting with the horses.
Tupker believes the structure is an important part of the city’s heritage and deserves to be maintained.
