Warm Weather Concerns City Road Crews

The City is keeping an eye on today’s warm weather and any snow that melts.

Spokesperson Brad Adams says they have a real concern with any standing water on the road because once the temperature drops it could turn into ice.

Adams tells us they don’t want the ice to expand in creases in the road causing potholes.

Crews will be taking action to redirect any melted snow so water doesn’t pool on the road.

He adds in past years they’ve had to chip the ice away to get it off the road.
