Recall Of KitchenAid Kettles Due To Burn Hazard

Over 47, 000 electric kettles are being recalled, because of a burn hazard.

Health Canada says the 1.7 litre KitchenAid kettle was sold between September 2013 and February 2018, in stores across Canada.

The handle can loosen and separate from the kettle, causing hot water to spill.

As of last month, there have been 19 reports in Canada of handles deteching from the kettle. One incident resulted in minor burns.

In the United States, there have been 79 reports.

If you own this kettle, you are advised to stop using it immediately, and contact Whirlpool to receive a replacement..
