The provincial government is setting up an expert panel to deal with the issue of species at risk.
The panel will provide advice for a long-term solution for species like woodland caribou living on crown lands in the north.
Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro says the goal is to have some recommendations in the next two years.
Mauro says the panel will be made up of northern municipal representatives, Indigenous leaders, scientists and forestry representatives. (File Photo)
