It’s time to “get your geek on” with the annual Thunder Con festival.
The two day event is a celebration of animation and sci-fi with fans dressing up as their favourite characters and enjoying events and speakers.
Organizer Drew Eckhardt says they’ve decided to add an extra day this year because of the overwhelming demand for tickets last year. They were estimating there would be about 300 people attending the one day six hour event, but that ballooned into about 1,500 people who showed up and it resulted in them running out of passes.
Thunder Con happens this Saturday and Sunday at the Valhalla Inn. The event costs $50 for the two days or $30 for Saturday and $25 for Sunday. Pre-registration rates are more economical and are available by following this LINK.
