The recent visit to northwestern Ontario by Premier Kathleen Wynne came at an important time. That’s according to Lakehead University political science professor Laure Paquette.
Paquette says it coincided with a significant, low-key, political event. She points out that the new northern separatist party has registered for the next election and Wynne can’t afford to lose any seats in the north.
And while Paquette thinks any visit by the premier is better than no visit, she believes the amount of money dropped was small compared with investments in other regions of the province. (File photo)
