Chamber Brings Budget Wishes To Councillors

The Chamber of Commerce is asking the city to streamline the budget process this year.

Councillors will be getting down to making changes starting on Thursday night.

Chamber President Charla Robinson says they want the city to concentrate on the core services and possibly reduce funding in areas that aren’t a priority, like parks services and golf courses.

She says the city should also consider working with the private sector on some projects to help reduce budget costs.

Robinson adds so far, the city has been taking the budget in the right direction.
