Starting at 10 o’clock Thursday morning, the region’s veterans will once again have a place to have their voices heard.
That’s the feeling from veteran Roy Lamore, who says it’s been a long two years to get the office on South Syndicate Avenue open. Lamore says it’ll mean more for veterans to be able to get services in person rather than over the phone.

Although he’s previously expressed concerns about the location, pointing out it could be difficult for veterans with mobility issues to get inside, Lamore says now isn’t the time to complain. In the future, further concerns might prompt them to look for another office, but for now he says they’ll use the office proudly. (Photo: Caroline Redston)
