Top 100 Canadian CEOs Make Average Annual Worker Wages By Noon Today

By noon today, the 100 best paid Canadian CEOs will have made more money than the average worker across the country.

The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives says it takes the average Joe a year of full time work to earn $49,510.

Those CEOs accomplish the same goal by 11:47 in the morning on the first working day of the year.

The CCPA report also shows the top 100 CEOs now make 193 times more than someone earning an average wage.

Total average compensation for CEOs of $9.5 million is a new record, according to the CCPA.

It also showed a glass ceiling still exists, with only two women cracking the top 100 list.
