We lost plenty of well known entertainers and celebrities in 2016, but it appears a man from South Carolina has made sure that actress Betty White made it through to 2017.
Demetrios Hrysikos started a Go Fund Me page, in which he states, “If she is okay with it, I will fly to wherever Betty White is, and keep her safe until January 1st of 2017.”
It started all in fun, with his original goal to raise $2,000.
But that goal was raised to $10,000 with the outpouring of support and the number of donations he raised.
The money will be donated to a South Carolina theatre for local talent.
Betty White turns 95 this month.
