Federal NDP leader Tom Mulcair says recent appointments by Prime Minister Trudeau doesn’t change his opinion of the Canadian Senate.
About 20 people named, including six from Ontario, will serve as independents.
Mulcair says that still makes the Senate un-elected, undemocratic and unaccountable.
Mulcair says his party will continue to fight for the abolishment of the Upper Chamber.
