Word that the provincial government’s Metrolinx is cancelling Bombardier’s contract for light rail vehicles isn’t worrying Unifor Rep Dominic Pasqualino.
Pasqualino says they are building the first two LRV’s in that deal and the rest are already being sent to be worked on in Kingston.
He says it won’t impact their operations or jobs because they already were winding down production on that job. Thay had built two prototypes of the vehicles here, with the rest set to be built at the southern Ontario plant.
There’s word that Metrolinx is cancelling the contract worth $770-million dollars for 182 Bombardier LRVs.
