City Looks For Help With 911 Texting Costs

City Council is looking for help in funding the implementation of next gen 911 texting service.

Council also asked for financial aid in helping provide education about the program to area residents.

Councillor Joe Virdiramo says he wants to get the province’s blessing to recoup the cost through Tbaytel through a service fee.

Virdiramo says the cost of implementing the new tech can’t fall solely on the backs of taxpayers. (File photo)
