It’s not just citizenship laws that are changing in Canada.
Immigration Minister John McCallum says the citizenship history lesson is also changing.
He says those people who are applying to become new Canadians will have a revised book to study from.
He says the language will be modified because currently they focus too much on the War of 1812 and what he calls barbaric cultural practices.
