Thunder Bay Hydro is responding to a large power outage in the area of Arthur Street.
Broken hydro poles are being blamed for the over 3,000 customers left without electricity.
Crews are working on restoring power, the majority of those customers are expected to have their energy back on within the hour.
Listeners texting our radio station say that power is also out on parts of Balmoral and its impacting traffic lights.
Thunder Bay Hydro says lines are down at Balmoral Street and Central Avenue.
Five hundred customers are affected in that outage.
