Mother Testifies At Inquest

The city inquest into the deaths of seven First Nation youth is now looking into the death of 15 year old Jethro Anderson of Kasibonika Lake.

His mother Stella Anderson took the stand to talk about her son and his drowning death in November of 2000. She testified she was told about her son’s death at Dennis Franklin Cromarty school when an elder broke the tragic news in front of a room full of people.

Also on the stand, his aunt Seloma Anderson who testified about the search for her missing nephew. She backed up earlier testimony from Stella Anderson that neither police or the coroner’s office told them very much about Jethro’s drowning death.
