AAC Bares Teeth Over Spring Bear Hunt

The Animal Alliance of Canada is baring its teeth on the proposed expansion of a spring bear hunt in Ontario.

The province says the pilot will help end the cycle of nuisance bears here in the north.

But Director Liz White says black bears wander into the city for a variety of reasons…namely food crop failures.

White says, after years of neglect, the Ministry of Natural Resources needs more funding to find a permanent solution.
