The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is on the receiving end of $68,000 from the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation.
The grant is going towards the purchase of an emergency shower in the Chemotherapy Preparation room.
Spokesperson Heather Vita says it gives patients in the region more treatment options closer to home.
Vita adds its part of the safety mandate of the hospital to have the shower in place, as it’ll remove any medication that may have come onto patients.
