The province is breaking-ground on the long-awaited expansion of our NorWest Community Health Centre.
Officials announced this morning that construction of a two-storey addition at Simpson Street is now underway and slated for completion in the fall of 2016.
Thunder Bay MPP Bill Mauro says the hope is that by expanding this facility, it’ll help relieve some of the pressure on other sectors of the health care system.
NorWest CEO Wendy Talbot says, right now they have an overcrowded facility, so this expansion will help staff provide more efficient care to patient.
