A health care pioneer in Thunder Bay and northwestern Ontario is dead.
Sister Margaret Smith died this week in North Bay. She was 92.
Smith started the first addictions treatment program with St. Joseph’s Care Group in 1967 and the new treatment centre is named in her honour.
