Starting this week the city will be launching a green ribbon campaign to raise awareness about the dangerous emerald ash borer.
Campaign organizer Lee Amelia says the invasive insect isn’t here yet, and if it arrives here it could kill our ash trees.
He says the campaign will see green ribbons tied to ash trees around the city.
They’re hoping you won’t bring back firewood from affected areas to the south of the city.
