The Northern Policy Institute is doing some investigative work into the potential of rail in the region.
CEO Charles Cirtwill says, worldwide, there’s been a renewed interest in rail, noting Asia, America and Russia have all started reinvesting in the service.
The report will be made available sometime next year.
