Lakehead University is going to raise their tuition rates by three percent in 2015/2016.
The fee increase passed unanimously Tuesday afternoon.
The student union was against the move and wanted tuition to be tied to the rate of inflation.
Both sides have agreed to work together next year on future tuition increases.
