CCAC Workers Win Raise

Unionized health care workers with the Northwest Community Care Access Centre will be getting a pay raise.

An arbitrator has ruled that members of the Ontario Nurses Association with CCAC’s in northern Ontario will receive a 1.4% increase, retroactive to last April, and 3.4% more in the second year of a deal.

The second year increase is to help bring the salaries in line with those in southern Ontario.

ONA members across the province staged a 17-day strike earlier this year before agreeing to arbitration.
