The Ontario government may be giving with one hand and taking away with the other.
The province says it will be removing the debt retirement charge from our electricity bills as of January the first. However that reduction could be offset by another move.
Thunder Bay Hydro’s Eileen Dias says the 10 per cent credit from the Ontario Clean Energy Benefit is being removed as well.
