A Thunder Bay court is finding John Tsekouras guilty on eight counts of drug offenses relating the the trafficking and possession of cocaine and marijuana.
Justice John Wright reviewed the evidence that was presented over the course of the lengthy trial including text messages that were salvaged from an encrypted Blackberry cell phone. The prosecution is asking for a sentence of 16 years, 12 for the cocaine convictions and 4 for the marijuana rulings.
The defence gets a chance to make its sentencing submissions tomorrow morning. Until then at least, Tsekouras is allowed to remain free on bail.
