Five festivals in Northwestern Ontario are getting recognition from the Ontario government.
They’ve been included in the top 100 festivals in the province from Festivals and Events Ontario. That includes the Kite Festival, the Voyageur Winter Carnival and Haunted Fort Night.
City Tourism Manager Paul Pepe notes some omissions like theThunder Bay Blues Festival and Ribfest. He says though, having five regional festivals listed in the top 100 is a noteworthy accomplishment.
Also included on the list is Harbourfest in Kenora and the Blueberry Festival in Sioux Lookout. (File Photo)
