The provincial government is providing money to 18 Northwestern Ontario remote First Nations.
The cash will help prepare the diesel dependent communities for connection to the province’s power grid.
Fort Hope, Fort Severn, Deer Lake, Webequie and Marten Falls First Nation are just some of the communities that will benefit from the funding and connect to the electricity grid.
