City Police are optimistic about the Guardian Angels first patrol of the City tonight.
Spokesperson Chris Adams says they’ve had good conversations with the community group’s leader Ian Hodgkinson.
According to the group’s Facebook page volunteers will meet at City Hall around nine o’clock tonight and will patrol for two hours.
The volunteers taking part are undergoing criminal checks and wearing uniforms that identify they are with the Guardian Angels.
Tonight is the anniversary of the very first patrol of the group in 1979 in New York City. (Photo supplied from Guardian Angels Canada Facebook)
