The Chief of Fort William First Nation has decided to stay “grassroots.”
Georjann Morriseau is no longer seeking the federal Liberal nomination for Thunder Bay-Rainy River.
Morriseau says she’s committed to remaining Chief of the First Nation, and that her priorities lie with moving the Fort William community forward.
Morriseau says it’s best she stays behind to see her work through, citing housing and long-term care as major initiatives currently on the go and ready for fruition, come spring. (Photo provided)
