Christmas Cheer Looking For Donations

Thunder Bay’s Christmas Cheer Fund is looking to raise 130-thousand dollars for their hamper program.
The money is used to purchase a week’s worth of food for less fortunate families in the City.
In partnership with the Christmas Hampers area firefighters collect toys to give with the food hampers through their Toys For Tots program.
Chair Joleene Kemp says their fundraising goal is 10-thousand dollars less than last year and that’s because they want to try to offer the same amount of food for less.
Next weekend we here at Magic 99 and Country 105 will be hosting a Stuff A Bus food drive at the Superstore.
Stuff A Bus last year raised over 40-thousand dollars in nonperishable food items and 13-thousand dollars in cash donations.
This year’s event will be held from 7 am until 7 pm at the Real Canadian Super Store. (Photo by Sheri Leviski-Kotyk)
