A Manitoba man is concerned about winter road maintenance on the Trans Canada highway.
Keith Young says he lost control of his truck and trailer outside of Thunder Bay on Tuesday morning around 10:30 on an icy road . He says he’s upset because he feels the government contractor, Carillion, should have been on top of the weather conditions. Young adds he had followed a salt truck over 100 kilometres west to Pass Lake but it didn’t continue on after that.
Meantime, OPP confirm that there were 2 other traffic mishaps in the area of Young’s accident during that same time period and that road conditions were “icy and slippery.” Carillion has not returned our call for a comment. (File Photo)
