Forest fire fighting resources are being scaled back by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
It’s because the fall season is approaching and the fire activity is very slow. One aircraft will remain on until officials are satisfied it isn’t needed any longer The ministry says there are no active fires in the Northwest Region and the fire hazard remains low in most sectors.
