Local residents are remembering our region’s missing and murdered First Nation and Metis women.
They took part in the 10th annual Full Moon Memory Walk last night.
Organizer Sharon Johnson says she won’t comment on how many of those women are from Northwestern Ontario because then they become statistics.
A flag raising ceremony kicked off the solemn event at City Hall, participants then proceeded to walk to the Neebing McIntyre Floodway. (Photo by Sheri Leviski Kotyk)
