A mild hiring climate is predicted in Thunder Bay according to the job consulting firm Manpower.
Its fourth quarter survey shows that 6 per cent of employers plan to hire for the upcoming three month period while 3 per cent expect cutbacks and the other 90 per cent plan no changes at all.
The survey says with Christmas hirings removed from the data the employment outlook of 5 per cent is a drop of 2 points compared to the previous three month report.
