BioEnergy Centre Open At Con College

Confederation College’s new BioEnergy Learning and Research Centre is now up and running.
The partnership with Ontario Power Generation offers students training and applied research opportunities related to biomass energy.
President Jim Madder says they’ll save 250-thousand dollars a year.
The centre features biomass boilers, fuel handling and heating systems and will provide 80 percent of the total heat load for the Shuniah/REACH building at Confederation College this winter. (Photo by Sheri Leviski Kotyk)
